Movie

This is my animation that i created a few weeks ago with using magazines to cut out parts and make a character and i have added sound into it using GarageBand and then exported it into a movie file and uploaded into this blog.

I have to a screenshot of exporting this animation with the sound added to it.

Alien Head

This was a short Animation that Me and Lewis Raywood made and we did this by using cutting out peaces of a newspaper and getting a alien head with a human body, we added a title and credits to our short animation using iMovie whilst editing some of the clips together.

We had to create new project and import our short animation, then we had to put the clips in and add titles and credits whilst choosing from a variety of backgrounds and fonts. There was a variety of fonts and sizes to choose from, there was different effects within the texts that would be showed either in your titles or credits, with the backgrounds on the opening titles and credits you could change the colour of the background or the style of it.

When you create a new project it will come up looking something like this, you can choose from any one of these themes and edit them yourself. There is different types of themes going to something colourful or dark, you can get something thats based from movies up to a blank colour. You will need to rename the project to something suitable thats associated with the video. 

Short Animation

Today we have made a cutout animation which was 5 Seconds long, using parts we cut out from newspapers. Me and lewis both worked together making this animation and we did this by using iStopMotion 3. We cut out an alien head from an advert and a mans suit. We have made him move to the side with his body moving up and down and then making him go down and off the screen and then re appear at the top of the screen, but upside down and then hiding again. I think that this animation went well because it didn't take that long to do it, we had enough time to get prepared and the parts we wanted. I enjoyed doing this because it was only a little taster of creating a animation sequence which was only 5 seconds long, i think that this went well in the amount of time we had.

The materials i will need to do this animation is:

HueHD- To do the animation and take the still images.                  

I will be printing out this image and cutting it out.

Super Mario background-To use as a background for my character to walk and jump on, but i've made my own on photoshop.

Unit 1 Part A

What i think my strengths and weaknesses are:

Strengths in Media, i think my main strength is media is digital Imaging, i do a lot of digital imaging at home and i do that the most. I think that Digital imaging is the most enjoyable thing to do and the easiest.                                                                                                             

I think my main weakness is Animation because i dont enjoy doing it, i think some parts of it is a bit complicated like doing the storyboards, especially when you work in groups.

Challenging:

I want to challenge myself to create a complicated background, by making the layout, colour's, shapes and a lot more. I want to use tools that i havent used before and get a better knowledge of digital imaging.

Target Audience
The target audience for this animation would be recommended for the ages of 4+, there is no violence in this animation, there is no sign of racist and sexist imaging or sound in any way.

Mario 8-bit Standing

This is the image i will be cutting out for Mario when he is standing, and after he's stopped jumping.

Animation Sound

The music in this animation is what i want to use in mine, the sound effects will go great with my animation and it will fit in perfectly.

Animation Research

I enjoyed watching this paper animation, and the way that the paper is used to tell a story. The sound fits in perfectly in each scene and it must of took a long time to do this animation.

This animation is plain and simple, its exactly how im going to do my animation by moving my cutout characters and moving them step by step.

This is very similar to the idea that i have for my animation, jumping on the mushrooms and collecting the stars.

Green

This is a animation called Green, james and lewis made the characters whilst i was off, there is no story to this animation its just a simple movement test to see if we know how to move them and stuff.
In the end i think it turned out good, was fun just watching james re-designing the models after they kept falling over.
These models were made out of clay and we had to move them little by little and take a picture and kept doing that. This animation is 5.5s long and it went really well. This animation was made by us moving the clay models very slowly and taking a photo on every step.

My First Post

I am ryan brown i am 17 and this is my second blog and im in my second year at Middlesbrough college, I went to Oakfields Community College and this is my first post.
